Tomorrow my husband, Rafiq Khan will be one of the contestants. 6.5km open water swim from Kapas Island to Pantai Peranginan Kelulut, Marang. He had been training hard and completing this event will boost his confidence to venture to bigger dreams..his ultimate goal.
I am worried sick because training in the pool and facing the open sea is totally not the same. Nevertheless, I know he can do it. Even if he doesn't make it within the stipulated time, I am still proud of him. Bringing home a medal will be a bonus. Good luck and be safe!
