Complete

When I was in primary school, I used to have a group of friends which consists of 3 girls. Me, Wee Chui Sien and Erin Melani Sequerah. Very 1 Malaysia. The three of us got along very well and we used to go for recess together.
Somehow, Erin and I lost touch. I don't know how that happened. We went to different high schools and I moved to KL when I was in Form 4. Although I do hear about her from other people, we never actually kept in touch.
I searched for her in Friendster and Facebook but never found her. Off late, many of my primary school friends managed to track me and I found Erin on one of my friend's list. I added her as a friend and once she accepted and saw me online, we chatted.
I can't believe I have found Erin. Now, my "geng" is complete :o)

My Funny Valentine

My 4 year old son, Faiq Khan bin Rafiq Khan, is one helluva colorful character. He is damn cheeky and funny. Amongst the things he said these past few days are:

1. Upon hearing the raya commotion downstairs: Woiii! Yang kat bawah tuuuuu! Diamlah sikiiiiiittttt!

2. Mak Tok: Larrr..kenapa Faiq tukar air Faiq dengan Mak Tok?
Faiq: Maaflah ye, yang ni dah habiiiiissss!

3. Bobo: Faiq, Faiq rindu kat Bobo tak? Bobo rindu kat Faiq!!
Faiq: Kalau Bobo rindu kat Faiq, bagi lar Faiq main game kat handphone Bobo!

4. While waiting for our food at the restaurant: Kita kat sini minum air je ke??!

Hmmm....Faiq, Faiq!

Salam Aidilfitri

Halalkan segala makan minumku. Semoga kita menyambut ketibaan Syawal dengan penuh kesyukuran.

Raya Mode

Raya mood is in the air in my office since Monday.
Today, the traffic has started to ease down a bit, which means that many are on leave already.
I am so in the raya mood! After my speech is done, I am so going to not think about work anymore!

Raya Cookies

Since Syawal is around the corner and kuih tunjuk cost a bomb, I decided to bake my own. It's actually the raya cookies that my mom used to make. I remember those days, my sisters and I used to bake between 5-8 types of kuih raya a week before Raya. My mom would make the adunan and we would help her terap, decorate etc. We would listen to Hari Raya songs while baking them. The most tedious raya cookies that we would be forced to make is Cornflakes Cookies. It became difficult because my mom would insist that we decorate the cornflakes in a shape of a rose. It's really pretty but it's damn tedious, it will take the whole day because my mom would make two adunan. Those were the days..
Aaanyways, now that I have to make my own, I decided to bake two of the easy ones, Cheese Cookies and Choc Chip Cookies.
Biskut Cheese
Bahan-bahan:
1. 250g (1 kotak) Cheddar Cheese (diparut)

Cara membuatnya:

4. Masukkan tepung dan cheese secara berselang seli di dalam adunan

Introducing Mini Raz

Jan and I took the opportunity of the long Merdeka weekend to visit Raz and her bundle of joy, Alya Batrisya.

Trisya was born on 12 August 2009 and shares the same birthday with Faiq. Her birth weight was 2.7kg and she was delivered via c-sect.

We left Kajang at about 2.00 p.m. I brought Aira along. Faiq didn't wanna follow because Akif and Asif were already at Kajang when I went there to pick Jan up. We arrived at Raz's house in D.U at 2.30 p.m. Belle and her husband, Collin were already there.

Collin, Belle and Raz

Belle is 7 months pregnant with her second child. She is due to give birth in October 2009.
When we arrived, Trisya was asleep so we chatted about giving birth experiences, Raz's plans regarding Trisya when she goes back to work etc.
Of course, before we left, we had an audience with little Trisya. At the moment, she looks like Kama, except for her eyes (not as small as Raz's though..hehe) and her nose!

Aira, meet your new friend, Trisya

We left before 3 p.m. as Aira was getting cranky. But it was good to meet up with Raz and Belle and I can see that Raz is adjusting and enjoying her new role as a mother.
Congrats once again, Raz & Kama!

Iftar Malam Keliwon

This is an outdated post..hehehe. Been busy last week that I didn't have the chance to update.

Aaaanyways, on Friday, while I was still at the office, I received a text message from Shima informing me that she was already in MV. I left the office at about 5.15 p.m., bought iftar food for the house and went back home. The initial plan was to take Faiq with me, but since Rafiq will be breaking fast at home, I decided not to. Rafiq warned me of a bad traffic at Seputeh but when I arrived there, there was traffic but the car was moving. I arrived at MV at about 7 p.m.

I was at SFSH around the same time as Dang. Shima and Zaza were already there and I felt bad for not bringing Faiq coz Zaza brought Hykiel. This is the second time I met Hykiel and he was as talkative as Zaza. Like mother, like son.

As iftar was drawing closer, Julie, Dina, Aden and Fariza started arriving. I also bumped into Zavina and her family who happened to break fast at the next table. She, of course, discovered that I was there upon hearing my "melodious" voice...hehehe. Alhamdulillah, she is 5 months pregnant with her second child.

So, the attendees were:

1. Yong @ Ketua Keliwon
2. Aden @ Penolong Ketua Keliwon
3. Shima @ Keliwon Blur Tak Hengat
4. Dina @ Keliwon Propah Ganda
5. Zaza @ Keliwon Pinoy Malatops
6. Julie @ Keliwon Dah Tak Dara @ Keliwon Demi Moore @ Keliwon Mak Lampir
7. Dang @ Keliwon Panglima Sakti
8. Fariza

The buffet spread was excellent, and my favourite had to be the Lasagna. It was very cheesy chewy. Just thinking about it make my mouth waters...yummers!

I can assure you that our table was the noisiest table of the night. The main event was catching up on our lives and reminiscing the good old days. Ada gak selingan komedi and advertisement of Julie's wedding ring by Dina. Dah nama pun Keliwon Propah Ganda kan..mesti laa live up to the standard. And because mommy was having too much fun, Hykiel decided to change base and play at Zavina's table.
Antara aksi-aksi terlampau malam itew:
Gossip baik punya!!

Aksi apakah?

Dah nama pun Keliwon Propah Ganda kan?

Ermmm..

Like mother, like son

As usual, time flies so quickly when you are having fun. We left SFSH at about 9.30 p.m. I am looking forward to meet them again..hopefully during Syawal.
